Tiepost is a peer-to-peer car sharing marketplace for the Phoenix metropolitan area. Owners list a vehicle they already have; drivers book it for a few days. We handle verification, the agreement, insurance and the money.

For owners

List a car you already own. We verify every driver's licence before they can book it, check the vehicle against open safety recalls, and pay you after the trip settles.

For drivers

Book a specific car from the person who owns it. You see the car, the price and the total before you ask, and the owner decides.

How a trip works

  1. Verification. Before anyone can book, Tiepost verifies their driver's licence and identity. Arizona requires this of us, not just of you.
  2. The request. Requesting a car reserves nothing. Several people can ask for the same dates, and the owner chooses.
  3. The gates. Before a trip starts, eight checks must pass — licence, safety recalls, insurance, the signed agreement, photographs of the car's condition, and identity confirmed in person at the handover.
  4. The trip. Insurance is bound for the whole trip. A trip cannot lawfully begin without it, and Tiepost will not let one start.
  5. Settlement. Photographs at return, the money posted, and the owner paid after the claims window closes.

Where we operate

Phoenix, Arizona. Tiepost operates as a peer-to-peer car sharing programme under A.R.S. §§ 28-9601 to 28-9616. That statute is why several things here are not optional: licence verification before an agreement, an open recall check before a car is offered, insurance bound before a trip begins, and trip records retained for six years and available to insurers on request.

Text messages

Tiepost sends one-time verification codes by SMS to a number you enter yourself, and only after you tap to request one. We send one message per request. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. We do not send marketing texts, and mobile numbers and consent are never sold or shared with third parties for their own marketing — see the privacy policy.

Status

Tiepost is in development and not yet open to the public. The apps are in testing.
